Frequently asked questions
My books open approximately every three months. Clients are notified of upcoming booking periods through my newsletter and announcements on Instagram. Once a booking date and time are set, a Tattoo Request Form will be released for clients to submit. I review submissions in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your request, the more likely you are to be selected for that booking round.
If you prefer to take some time preparing your answers, there is a link to an example of the request form below.
You must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo from me.
The tattoo shop is called Space, located at 1645 Cedar Road, Ucluelet, BC. It’s a collective art space shared by six tattoo artists. The studio has a calm, peaceful atmosphere and is often mistaken for a spa — I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It truly is a wonderful space.
Our shop accepts cash or card to settle the balance owed after your session. Please factor in the 12% British Columbia sales tax when preparing for your appointment.
Traveling from the USA or abroad?
Please bring Canadian dollars (CAD) to your appointment. Venmo and Zelle don’t work in Canada. Ordering cash from your home bank ahead of time is recommended, since ATMs may have withdrawal limits.
Tattoos are priced per piece. Once I know the exact design, size and placement on your body I will be able to give you the final pricing. If you are at all concerned about pricing, please let me know your budget ahead of time and I can alter the design to keep it within the price point you are comfortable with. My minimum charge is $180 per tattoo.
All designs are created the day of your appointment — I do not draw designs ahead of time. Once you arrive at the shop, we’ll go over your ideas together and collaboratively create the tattoo design. This allows for direct feedback and helps ensure your tattoo truly reflects your vision.
The drawing process typically takes 15 minutes to one hour. You’re welcome to relax in the shop during this time or step out for a walk around town if you prefer.
I require an $80 deposit upon booking an appointment. This deposit will be put towards the final pricing of your tattoo. This is a non-refundable deposit.
Please be sure to come feeling your best. I will not tattoo people under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. I will not tattoo hung over grumps (you won’t enjoy the pain and I won’t enjoy the session). Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing with easy access to the desired placement. Do not come in your brand-new white t-shirt. We are dealing with permanent ink- if your clothing rubs, it will stain- and sometimes things get a little messy. Bring layers to keep warm, even a blanket if you want to be extra cozy. Warm socks and mitts can help for longer tattoo sessions. Make sure to eat prior to your session and bring snacks and or a lunch for full day sessions. Your body will need fuel.
Please do not plan to be somewhere immediately after your scheduled tattoo appointment. While we do our best to stay on schedule, things happen and time constraints are stressful when applying a tattoo.
They are welcome! We have a decent sized shop, if you need some support from a homie they are most definitely able to sit with you for the duration of your session (or come and go as they please). However please be respectful of the shared space and try to keep personal conversation to a minimum. Artists are trying to focus.
